Celine Dion in Oscar de la Renta, MET gala 2019

Today, the first Monday in May is the most expected fashion event in the year. Celebs gather to celebrate the opening of the Metropolitan Museum Costume Institute’s latest exhibit and to raise funds to keep the organization going. This year however, the world is a different place and a pandemic has forced us to stay at home and figure out ways to entertain ourselves and remain creative, we can’t do much but wonder what designers would our favorite “A” Listers have worn to this year’s “About Time: Fashion and Duration” MET Gala.

These are some of our guesses…

Rihanna

Having missed last year’s, it is unclear if she would have attended Today’s gala but she remains one of the most expected of the night, our guess is she would have worn something FENTY, made by her own team.

Sarah Jessica Parker

It would have been a great year to go back to VIVIENNE WESTWOOD and bring some 80's vibe back into the MET Gala’s ret carpet

Katy Perry

It is hard to imagine her in anything other than MOSCHINO BY JEREMY SCOTT, isn’t it?

Lady Gaga

Dressed last year by former stylist Brandon Maxwell, Gaga always knows how to catch our attention. Our guess is this year she would have gone for a true classic with a Gaga twist, CHANEL meets Gaga?

Cardi B

The last 2 MET galas were closed by Bronx native Cardi B, and there is no reason to believe this year would have been any different. Our guess is Cardi would have gone for someone whose vision of current and past is very artistic, someone like SCHIAPARELLI

BILLY PORTER

Always pushing the limits, Billy Porter would be a show-stopper (again!) in IRIS VAN HERPEN, I mean… can you even imagine that? (mind explosion!)

We hope you enjoyed our guesses, if we got any of these right we might never know, but it wont hurt to day dream.
