Trending in Couture: Spring 2020

By: Meg Lindley

It is undeniable that the forces that drive trends are changing with regards to technology, social platforms, and changes in consumer behavior. However, people will look up to the couture runways for inspiration in styling, details, colors, and silhouettes. When put side by side, you can see how the trends trickle down to ready-to-wear in more wearable forms.

There will always be trends that are consistent on the haute couture runways like the presence of gold decadent details, the leggy silhouettes, and dramatic proportions. It is the use of these trends that molds over time into something new each runway.
