TRENDING: Tie-Dye Revolution

Collaborator: James Davalos

One of the hottest trends in stores this summer is tie-dye. We know this might remind you of The Grateful Dead or that one smelly skater guy in your dorm, but this technique has deep roots. Tie-dye borrows from a Japanese indigo dyeing technique called Shibori which goes back to the 8th century.

Whatever your reference, this treatment is being given new life with cool placements and tonal colorways. It’s a great way to create fresh, all-over patterns on more than just t-shirts and sweatshirts.
