4 Jewelry Designers That Will Take Any Outfit from 0 to 60
By: Meg Lindley
Jewelry is a super personal accessory for me. I tend to gravitate to the geometric, dramatic, alternative or sparkly pieces. For me, an outfit can be completely transformed by the pieces you pair with it. You can give something basic a funky twist just by adding the perfect ring or necklace. With that being said, I am an advocate when it comes to investing in pieces you love. It’s exciting to treat yourself, and beyond worth it when you realize you love it so much you find yourself wearing it everyday.
I asked some of my favorite jewelry designers what inspires them to create such unique and beautiful pieces. It feels much more personal when you can peak behind the curtain and see where inspiration comes from. Do yourself a favor and check them out ASAP. Maybe you’ll find something you can’t live without.

“We tend to get a lot of inspiration from the unique antique pieces that our mother collects. We combine certain techniques and settings from old looks and match them to the current trends that are currently in fashion.” - Yarden & Oren Katz, Sister Founders

“My work is very intuitive, and inspiration can come from the most unexpected places. I like to work conceptually with my collection, and create a whole universe around the pieces. It’s important to me that the jewels have a timeless collectible value, and that they reflect a personality beyond looking beautiful. My mantra has also always been beauty of imperfection, and I strive to create pieces that have a soul and a natural crafted feel. Nature and art is however always an endless inspiration, and my latest collections have been focusing around femininity and human form in art.” - Bjørg Nordli-Mathisen, Designer
